Hiring is unique to everyone. Your setup in Recruiterbox should reflect your own workflow! With our new Choose Your Own Adventure feature you can customize when you'd like to see the "Write to Candidate" option while rejecting candidates!
What is it?
When you are moving a candidate into a "Reject" state in the New Hiring Workflow you have the option to write to the candidate. Previously, this option always appeared - and you could click "No Thanks" each time, to not write to the candidate.
The Choose Your Own Adventure feature allows you to customize when you would like to see the "Write to Candidate" option appear.
How did this come about?
Customer feedback is something we take incredibly seriously here at Recruiterbox. A while ago we received a suggestion to remove the "Write to Candidate" option when the candidate was being rejected from the first stage of an opening.
We monitored usage, and saw that many users did not write to a candidate when rejecting them from the first (typically, screening, stage).
To streamline workflows, we removed the "Write from Candidate" option when rejecting candidates in the first stage of an opening.
In the week or so that followed we received a lot of great feedback regarding this change. Because of this feedback, redesigned this workflow to focus on user preference, allowing each user to make the choice as to when they would like to write to the candidate. We hope you enjoy the results :)
How do I use it?
The first time you reject a candidate, you'll have the option to choose if you would like to write to the candidate. At this point, you can set your preference for this stage of this opening.
If you do not choose a preference, you'll continue to have the option to write to the candidate.
The next time you reject a candidate who is in this stage of this opening, the preference will be remembered.
Should you change your mind, you can always revert this change, or choose to write to the candidate just this time via the "Settings" wheel on the rejection confirmation page.
What about bulk actions?
This feature is only available on single candidate actions. On bulk actions, the "Write to Candidate" option will always appear. You can choose "No Thanks" if you wish to not write to the candidates in his situation.
Hold up...I'm not seeing this in my account?
If your team hasn't been moved to the New Hiring Workflow, you will not have these options when you move candidates through stages. Please write to us regarding transferring your account to the new hiring workflow.
