Recently internal notes have gotten a face lift to include @mentions, which allow you to mention a user's name throughout the message.
This handy new feature also eliminates the need to add the user's name to the right of the message - simply type the "@" sign, or click "Copy Users" to pull up your user list. Tag them anywhere throughout and they will receive an email notification.
